Sample Sales Packs we made for Open for Vintage involving quite a lot of research and product testing to understand and develop methods of printing on black card (and all types of paper), gold foiling, wax sealing etc. Was a lot of fun and we ended up buying a good bit of equipment along the way for future use.
Irish Sponsorship Summit 2016
Finishing off a big chunk of a large project for the Irish Sponsorship Summit 2016 which involved a full re-branding (new logo, branding, etc), new website (will be launched at a later stage) and re-edit of the footage that was shot at the last event.
Most of the footage wasn't shot by us (apart from time-lapses, which we did as an addition) but we had a lovely task of editing it and creating vector animations of the logo and various bits around the final video. Hope you guys like the video and their new look.
Looking forward to the event itself!
Open for Vintage
Finished off another great branding project for a new company called "Open for Vintage" who are exhibiting at the Web Summit this week.
We did some initial work for them earlier this year and now we executed a full branding strategy and designs including initial packaging and a fairly hefty branding guidelines book. Their website will be launched at a later stage but the holding page is now up as a sneak preview.
Letters out
Sending out some letters today to a few people and got a stamp to brand the envelopes nicely because why not.
Head of Accounts & Marketing
We're delighted to have this guy (Ray Byrne) join our team as the Head of Accounts & Marketing.
With the company turning 2 years and not being classified as a startup anymore it was time to up our game and expand our team. With Kevin Goss-Ross becoming a full time partner in the company over the summer we've decided to expand our team even further this year and get more people on board. Exciting times in the new offices of Third Mind Design.
Site visit/update
Had another site visit to Strandhill Co.Sligo this week with the team for a week 5 update presentation for the client and to check out whats happening with regards to building progress.
Although it was a bit of a treck going up there from Dublin, the result couldnt be better. The client was thrilled with the progress and after 5 long weeks all we need to do now is to apply the branding across all the products and do some final touchups.
Staying on top of things as always.
Check out the update photos on our instagram.
Lookingn forward to releasing all the designs soon.
Long photoshoot today. Great results!
We held a photoshoot today for the Vodafone DIT fashion show creative imagery. The photographer who we work with, Kevin Goss-Ross, was hard at work and produced amazing stuff. Over 47 Gbs of photos to look through now (and choose only 2 from) but very happy with the final result.
looking forward to the editing part next. As always we're super excited to be involved in the Vodafone DIT fashion show. Looking forward to see the final product.
We had a great team of students involved in helping out at he shoot (carrying stuff, moving flashes, getting coffee and even contributing to ideas). One person stood out the most - Karolina Pawlak. She literally just got shit done without being asked. ("We need to pin that dress because there is somethint wrong there" and by the time you turn around she's already at it).
Underwater housing for a Canon 5d mk3 or m2
Finding one of these housings in Ireland is like trying to catch a unicorn with your hands tied behind your back, but sure enough we did it.
After ringing almost every camera equipment renting place in Ireland and listening to them pretty much laugh at you over the phone it turned out to be the good old fashioned "friend of a friend of a friend who has a friend" job.
Now trying to confirm the venue for saturday then let the fun begin!
Fashion Show creative
Doing some fabric shopping today for the upcoming fashion photoshoots. A nice change of pace from all the website work and never-ending photoshopping (not that we don't enjoy them).
UFO-style floating speaker design.
Just saw the new design for a flying speaker made by CrazyBaby. Very interesting concept. The theory behind it makes sense so it'll be interesting to see if it's gonna make a difference in sound quality thus becoming the new standard in sound technology or if it's a gimmicky flying speaker.

Another photoshoot
Great to be involved with this year's Eirtakon in Croke park. We were in doing studio shots and also did some of the design work. Great team to work with.
Ads of the World
We're absolutely delighted to have our most recent project featured on Ads of the World - check it out at http://bit.ly/AOWTMD
Happy Halloween!

Max did a great job on this creation!
